Iain has over 25 years experience of producing and finance across all areas of International Film & TV Production. A Glasgow-born graduate of Strathclyde University, the National Film & Television School and Atelier de Cinema European, he has served on the Development Board of Scottish Screen Enterprises, the NFTS Scholarship Panel and for 10 years has been Chairman of the NFTS Alumni. Beginning with Bill Forsyth on Local Hero, Iain has worked with directors as diverse as Bruce Beresford, Kevin Godley, David Mallet, Richard Lowenstein, Sandy Johnson and David MacKenzie. His feature credits incude Far From China, Naked August and P.O.V.
As Head of Production at Midnight Films in the 80s, he produced films with U2, Frank Sinatra, INXS, Paul MacCartney and AC/DC, as well as numerous music videos directed by Brian Ward. He then co-founded and was Chairman of the AIM listed Parallel Pictures at Ealing Studios. In 2001 he established Brown Films to develop and produce of feature films. Having also co-founded an investment company to co-venture with TV Broadcasters, he is now developing a slate of TV and feature projects including the Drama/Doc series Iron, the feature film The Bonny Boys (directed by Jonathan Lynn), and the animated feature Futebol currently in preparation in India and the USA.
